Justin is an award-winning AV Professional and broadcasting specialist, with over 15 years’ experience in Audio Visual, videoconferencing and tech support

Justin has held various roles throughout his career from Broadcast Technician, Producer, Station Manager, IT Support and Senior Audio Visual Technologist.

As a broadcaster, Audio Visual Professional, Technologist and Scouter, Justin’s success, has mirrored his academic credentials. He holds numerous certifications in both the Audiovisual and IT and Media Industry including

• Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) ISO/IEC 17024:2012 (one of less than a dozen recognised CTS holders in Ireland)
• International Project Management Association (IPMA-D) Certification

Media Experience
Justin’s extensive media career includes work with Newstalk Radio & Today FM.

For Scouting Radio he has consistently led the podcast charts with the station endorsed by Michael Baden-Powell, grandson to the Founder of Scouting.

Justin has consistently worked to improve the visibility of The World Scout Movement through the station encourage young people to join the adventure of the World’s largest Peace Movement.

Scouting Radio has taken him into every imaginable and unimaginable situation, from celebrating the centenary of Scouting and having live reports from every time zone of the World for 24 hours during the Sunrise Festival in 2007 to reporting on missing Scouts, Scouts taking on summiting Everest, interviewing Astronauts, members of the Royal Family and to tragic accidents at Scout Jamborees.

Audio Visual Professional
With his Professional Audio Visual and Technology experience, Justin regularly attends Audio Visual Conferences and trade shows including Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), Learning Technology Space Management Group (LTSMG) and SCHOMS. He has presented at AV conferences and partakes in several AV discussions both as a panellist and online webinars.

In 2021 Justin was marginally beaten in the finals of the AV Nation's Readers Choice Awards for the category AV Professional of the Year an accolade he won in 2019 for the previous years dedication to the Audio Visual industry.

In 2018 after returning from Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), Justin launched All Things TechIE , an Irish Podcast dedicated to Audio Visual and IT with his co-host Simon Lang.

Justin was shortlisted in the 2018 AV Technology Europe Awards for the category "Emerging AV Professional of the Year" and "AV Professional of the Year" in the 20th AV Awards in Grosvenor Park Hotel, London.

Previous to this in 2017 Justin was a finalist in the AV Awards under the category of “European CTS Holder of the Year”
When not hard at work doing Audio Visual and Technology roles and responsibilities, Justin enjoys time with his young son and daughter, Scouting, broadcasting and football.
